Egyptians and Photography
As I discovered while looking for my lens. Egyptians are not big on Photography. I knew before arriving that I had to be careful taking pictures in Egypt as it is against the law to take photos of military installations, government buildings and infrastructure. For me the sight of dozens of armed police in the streets around every large building is enough of a deterrent for me. I thought I would be safe in the roof bar of the Nile Hilton hotel when the general manager approached us and said someone from the central government building had seen me and I must stop taking pictures. This is the last frame of a night panorama I got before I was interrupted. I will have to wait till I get home to see what this looks like stitched together with the other seven frames.
