Heading Home

The time has come to pack our bags for the last time and ready ourselves for the 19hr stopover flight back to the UK. Last night we got out the map to see what we had done. It breaks down something like this:

I averaged 100 photos per day and was able to fill a 80gb hard drive with over 4700 images. The process of turning them in to web pages will probably take most of 2008. With the exception of one lens the 7kg of photographic equipment and gadgets all worked without any major problems. Everything went according to plan. We did not have any problems getting accommodation even in high season. We managed to survive very comfortably in Egypt for UK£30 a day but you could do it on a lot less. We always felt very safe in Egypt and found the people very welcoming. Hi to everyone we met along the way, I hope your travels are filled with the kind of good memories you have left with us
